HELP

[NTAMBI STEVEN]

Hi guys

--From the ports file for ircd-hybrid i typed make and makefile,
--the folder /usr/local/etc/irc/ircd-hybrid/with the following files
	.convertconf-example.conf       example.efnet.conf              kline.conf
	dline.conf                      example.efnet.conf.old         
kline.conf.sample
	dline.conf.sample
	example.conf                    ircd.motd
	example.conf.old                ircd.motd.sample

	(the files."without sample" i created them)
-- edited example.conf and saved it as /usr/local/etc/ircd.conf
	i edited the name server
	kept the hub operation on tho i dont see y i did that
	put my email and contacts
	i also created the log fiiles in /var/log/ircd/logs/"log file name" where
	log file name can be foperlog or userlog etc

-- i run the command /usr/local/bin/ircd to get such a response
	ircd: version hybrid-7.0.2
	ircd: pid 7417
	ircd: running in background mode from /usr/local
--ps aux|grep ircd shows no ircd running!!!
	the logs show no error

-- i definately did something wrong but could u pliz show me where.
Atleast give me
	direction
