As long as I have anything to say about it, there will be no 'filtering' 
of chat, private or public, done by the server.  If you want that, most 
clients support it.  Writing the code to look at people's chatter and 
actually including it in the code-base, even in contrib/, is just too 
much of a temptation for people to start logging chat.  Furthermore, the 
server should not have to waste CPU cycles parsing someone's chat -- 
there's too much potential for DoS.  I believe there is a mathematical 
theorem proven that for a given compression scheme, there is a 
'worst-case' which will defeat the scheme.  I would assume the same is 
true for parsing.
