Config Issues

Yea that was exacly what it was, I enabled irc instead of ircd when
configuring the firewall... wOOOps. Anyways, thanks a bunch. So hopefully
one last problem, I need to disable the requirement on an ident server, at
from some googling it looks like there's a patch to hybrid 7 to make this
possible, but since I'm installing hybrid through yum in fc5, I'm not sure
how to apply the patch or if I need to. The version I have installed is :
ircd-hybrid.i386 7.2.1-1.fc5
extras
once the patch is applied what do you do in the config file to disable the
ident requirement, or is the lack of need_ident in the flags of the auth
section enough to disable the ident requirement when the patch is in place?
thank you for all the help!!! :-)
